Can you really hear your own pronunciation mistakes? 👂🎙️
happy Sunday everyone! 👋
A study by Dlaska and Krekeler showed something very real for English learners:
Most people can tell they have an accent…but they often struggle to hear exactly where the mistake is. 🤔
In other words:
we often hear the version we meant to say, not always the version we actually said. 😅
That is why recording yourself is so useful. 🎧
Not to judge yourself. Not to feel bad.But to become more aware.
Because once you hear the gap, you can start to fix it. ✅
So here’s a small challenge for today:
🎙️ Record yourself saying 2 or 3 sentences in English.
🎧 Listen back.
📝 Notice just one thing you want to improve.
Small awareness = big progress. 🚀
Have you ever listened to your own English and thought, “Wait… do I really sound like that?” 😅👇
