As we all gather to celebrate the passing of time and ringing in of new. I think of bonds made past and new to come. In today’s times gathering is only celebrating, but we must remember and reflect when it was a matter of survival. Let the old pass and new in as we make lists of gratitude and intentions. But let us rest as we reflect on a time when community was only for survival, not as for belonging and love as it is today.
