🚗 Uganda’s Used Car Import Market is Booming!
Did you know that in 2025, Uganda is expected to import 35,000 cars from Japan? Most of these vehicles arrive via container shipments, while the rest come through RoRo vessels.
Here’s how the process works:
- Cars mainly arrive at Mombasa port, then move to Uganda under a transit bond.
- To export a car from Japan to Uganda: Maximum 15 years old Must pass QISJ or EAA inspection
- Shipping time: 25–35 days
Top models Ugandans love:
- Subaru: Impreza, Forester
- Toyota: Fielder, Noah, Wish, Premio
- Mazda: CX-5
- Toyota Harrier, Nissan X-Trail
