I’ve had a very positive experience with RCS so far. The combination of structured lessons, practical training, game analysis, and a supportive community has helped me approach chess in a much more systematic way. What I especially appreciate is that the focus is not just on memorizing moves, but on understanding positions, developing a consistent thinking process, and learning from your own mistakes. The coaches are approachable and the community is always willing to share advice and experience

I don't know where to start, really. The women who run this program care deeply about their students. It has not taken long at all for me to care deeply about the progress and well being of fellow students and the instructors who are still out there trying to achieve their own goals. Chess is a life long companion, and having people who cheer for you, chew you out, listen to you, relate with you, hold you accountable, and support you, is exactly what you get here. Thank you ladies.

Most instructive chess teaching. Huge thanks to the coaches, always there and always ready to help — the 1:1 sessions are exceptional. The game reviews are the comic relief: Dina absolutely can't stand an unsound opening, and she'll make sure you know it. She's tough and completely committed to her own idea of the school — not always my style, but you can't help respecting the conviction. The students make it too: friendly people who regularly exceed expectations.

A serious-but-fun group of aspiring chess competitors who are collegial and knowledgeable, ranging from beginners to future GMs. if you want to learn how to win at chess, these course materials will help you understand why gimmicky gambits will only get you so far. There is a reason why some of our favorite internet content providers will never make GM, and RCS will show you why, and teach you the alternative. Learn to use your brain, like Kasparov and Carlsen.

Cant imagine learning chess anywhere else. Love the principles and philosophy taught at Russian Chess school. It's simple, easy, logical. If you put in the effort, this school will be your guide to achieving your chess goals. The group classes are great. The coaches are amazing. The students in the communities are awesome. I can say with certainty, as long as I continue love and enjoy learning chess, I will always be here at Russian Chess School.
