The Gospels-What are the synoptic Gospels?
The synoptic Gospels refer to the first three books of the New Testament: Mathew, Mark, and Luke. They are called "synoptic" because they share a similar perspective and outline of Jesus's life and teachings. These Gospels often present the same stories and follow a similar sequence of events. This common viewpoint makes them easier to compare with each other.
Example:
Mathew 1:1-This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham:
Mark 1:1- This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God. It began
Luke: 1:1-Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us.
