We deserve better from our officials.

Over and over again we see leaders in the U.S. government make statements and take a policy stand that is contrary to the needs of the people they serve.

The most recent comments from Kennedy about people with disabilities is offensive. As a person with disabilities, a wife with disabilities, and my youngest brother having multiple disabilities as well as being Autistic, I've reached out to his office to express my concern for his actions and statements.

I still believe the pen is mightier than the sword and has tremendous power.

I believe I can make a difference.
