If your pitch strategy is:
"Hey, I'd love to speak at your event. Here's my bio…"
You're competing with hundreds of others doing the exact same thing.
Here's how you actually turn pitches into podiums:
Step 1: Engage first.Comment on their posts. Share their content. Become a familiar face before you ask for anything.
Step 2: Add value before you ask. Send them a DM like: "Hey, I saw your last event was on [topic]. I interviewed someone recently about that and thought you'd find this clip useful." No ask. Just value.
Step 3: Make it a no-brainer. When you finally pitch, reference the relationship you've built and offer a specific, audience-focused talk idea not a generic "I'm available" message.
