Hello everyone, and welcome! My name is LaTasha Willingham, and I am so excited that you are here.
I am currently a high school counselor and a student at Mount Mary University, where I am pursuing my dual master’s degree in School Counseling and Professional Therapy. I have been working as a school counselor for the past four years, supporting high school students as they prepare for their futures beyond graduation.
Through my work with students, I have noticed that many students—especially first-generation college students—often struggle with the transition from high school to college. This transition can feel overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes isolating for both students and their families.
Because of this, I created Revive Scholars Collective.
This community was created to provide support, guidance, and a safe space for students and families navigating the transition from high school to college. Whether you are a first-generation student or come from a family with college experience, this space is designed to help you feel supported along your journey.
Within this community, we will:
Share resources and information
Provide encouragement and accountability
Discuss challenges that come with the college transition
Support one another through academic and personal growth
Build a community where no one feels alone in the process
The goal of Revive Scholars Collective is to create a space where students and families feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and receiving guidance during this important season of life.
I truly believe that education can change lives, and sometimes the right support system makes all the difference.
Again, welcome to Revive Scholars Collective. I look forward to growing and supporting one another together.
Let’s get to know each other!
