For years, I wore the mask of “the strong one.” I smiled, helped others, and pretended I had it all together even when I was breaking inside. That mask kept me safe, but it also kept me from being real. I’ve since learned that true strength isn’t pretending it’s giving myself permission to be seen, flaws and all.
We all wear masks strength, perfection, people-pleasing that protect us but also hide us. Taking them off is where freedom and real healing begin.!!
