This is the price of putting yourself last
Stress put me in the ER with chest pains. Not a metaphor. Not a scare tactic. Reality.
Here’s the truth most men don’t want to hear:
If you don’t prioritize YOU, you are useless to the people you say you’re doing this for.
Your wife doesn’t need a martyr.
Your kids don’t need a ghost.
Your business doesn’t need a burned-out shell.
And the world doesn’t need another man who sacrificed himself on the altar of “I’ll get to me later.”
Later almost cost me everything.
New year. New rules.
Your health is not optional.
Your rest is not weakness.
Your boundaries are not selfish.
Your peace is not negotiable.
Self-prioritization isn’t ego — it’s responsibility.
Because the only way you can truly serve humanity is by being here, whole, and strong enough to carry the load.
So let me ask you, man to man:
What are you cutting off this year so you don’t end up laid out like this?
What are you finally putting first — before your body forces the issue?
Face it now… or pay for it later.
