Duplex Rent Analysis Question

Hi everyone!

I’m starting to do my first set of real estate analysis and had a quick question about determining rent.

I’m analyzing a duplex with 3 bedrooms in each unit. To determine the rent, do I treat each unit as a house with 3 beds and then combine the two rents to get the total for the property?

How do you guys typically determine rents or analyze multi-family units like this? I’d appreciate any advice or insights.
