When I left my jobs in my 20's, I rolled my IRA's into my new job's plan.
Eventually, I learned about self directed IRA's. When I left the logistics industry, I rolled my IRA's and 401k's into a Self Directed IRA.
I flipped a couple of houses, but it was a pain! You have to be very strict with how you use the funds and you have to pay every bill, including $15 electric bills with your IRA. It can be cumbersome because there are a lot of transactions.
I decided I'd just lend that money out and make a return that way. I've never looked back!
I'm curious to see how many people are using Self Directed IRA's vs others who have never heard of them!
