Ever had one of those days where you just want to roll your eyes at the absurdity of it all?
Micaiah felt that deep in his soul.
"Micaiah answered, 'Attack and be victorious, for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.'" — 1 Kings 22:15
This is the funniest part of the story to me.
When Micaiah finally stands before King Ahab, he actually starts by being sarcastic. He mimics the 400 "yes-men" prophets with a "Sure, King, go for it! You'll be fine!" The King immediately knew he was being mocked because the truth usually sounds a lot different than a scripted line.
Sometimes our flaw is our "attitude" or our frustration with how fake things feel. But God used Micaiah’s bluntness to break through the noise. He didn't have to be a polished "professional" to be a prophet; he just had to be honest.
In a world that loves a scripted response, your "holy sarcasm" or blunt honesty might be exactly what God uses to wake people up to the truth.
