Why your body won’t heal if your Shen is still on alert
Most people try to fix symptoms without addressing the state of the nervous system.
In TCM terms, when the Shen is unsettled, everything becomes harder:
- sleep
- digestion
- emotional regulation
- pain perception
You don’t have a “symptom problem”
You have a state problem
Try this today:
Place your attention at the base of your skull for 30 seconds
Slow your breath
Notice what your body does when it is not being chased
Then ask:
“What am I still bracing for?!
What is your body doing that your mind keeps ignoring?
I’m curious.
When your body is stressed, where does it show up first?
- jaw
- chest
- gut
- head
- sleep disruption
- energy crash
There’s always a pattern before the symptom.
