Getting Started: How Skool Works 😁
Hi everyone,
We’re excited to welcome you to our brand new Quit Drinking Community on Skool. This platform is already huge in the USA and is gradually gaining popularity in the German-speaking world. You’ll quickly understand why Skool is on such a winning streak once you get familiar with it after a few days here.
First and foremost, Skool provides us with the ideal space for lively interactions. We can discuss, share our experiences, upload photos and videos, and much more.
👉👉 If you get stuck at any point, just post your question as a comment under this post. I’ll respond as quickly as possible!
Here’s a quick guide to the key features:
👉 Commenting
You can comment on any post at any time (see first image). At the bottom, you’ll find a field labeled “Your Comment.” Just type your message there and click the yellow “Comment” button when you’re done (see second image).
👉 Replying
You can also reply directly to another member’s comment. Just click “Reply” under their comment. This opens up the input field again, and the author of the comment you’re replying to is automatically tagged. They’ll get a notification about the new reply and can respond directly as well—this helps create a lively discussion. 😀 Don’t hesitate—give it a try! 💪
👉 Liking ❤️
This one’s super easy 😁 If you like someone’s post, click the thumb icon below it—just like you would on Facebook (see third image). Here’s a tip: don’t hold back with your likes, as the more you give, the more you’ll receive. And the more likes you collect, the faster you’ll level up and gain access to bonus content ❤️
👉 Creating a New Post
If you’d like to start a new topic, share your experiences, or ask a question, create a new post. At the top, you’ll see the field “Write something” (see fourth image). Click there to enter a title, write your post, and select a category (“Select a Category,” see fifth image). If you’re introducing yourself, select the category “Introductions”; otherwise, feel free to use “General Topics.” Over time, more categories will be added here.
👉👉 That’s all there is to it! You’ll see that Skool is very intuitive and a lot of fun. You can’t do anything “wrong” or “break” anything here, so jump right in! For example:
