Gratitude + The Law of Reversibility = Reality Hacking
Most people think they’ll feel grateful after they hit a goal. But that’s backwards.
Let me show you. Say you desperately need $10,000 this week or you’ll lose your car. Right now you probably feel stressed, anxious, maybe even hopeless. All of those emotions are like static—interference that blocks opportunities from finding you. Resistance towards a positive emotional state.
Now imagine I walk in and hand you $10,000 cash on the spot. What happens? Your chest relaxes. Your mind clears. You feel relieved, safe, even excited about the future. You instantly shift into gratitude.
Here’s the key insight:
If receiving the money can cause you to feel gratitude, then feeling gratitude can cause you to receive the money.
That’s the Law of Reversibility in action—a principle Neville Goddard and modern physics both point toward:
If A causes B, then B can cause A.
If a physical fact (getting $10K) can produce a psychological state (gratitude), then the psychological state (gratitude) can produce the physical fact (getting $10K).
Why this isn’t “woo”—it’s science
Your brain doesn’t fully distinguish between vividly imagined experiences and “real” ones.
Neuroscience calls this neuroplasticity.
When you repeatedly generate the emotional state connected to your goal, you strengthen the neural circuits that filter for and act on opportunities to create it.
Your subconscious works like a magnet, aligning your perception, decisions, and energy with the reality you’ve been rehearsing emotionally.
How to apply it right now
  1. Identify the state. Ask yourself how would I feel if I already had my goal?(Relief? Security? Freedom? Joy?)
  2. Step into it now. Close your eyes, meditate and reach an Alpha brainwave state. Then visualise and feel it as though it’s real. Don’t “wait” for it—generate it.
  3. Lock it in with gratitude. Whisper the “magical prayer” before bed: “Thank you for showing me that this issue is already solved.” Personalize it: “Thank you for showing me that this $10,000 is already here.”
  4. Persist. Keep returning to that feeling state throughout the day—especially when your 3D reality tempts you to doubt.
The shortcut
Gratitude isn’t just good manners—it’s a frequency. When you live in that frequency before the goal arrives, you collapse the timeline between “desire” and “reality.” You start to move as the version of yourself who already has it… and reality has no choice but to catch up.
Try this today: Spend 2 minutes feeling the gratitude you would feel if your biggest current goal were already done. Then comment below:
What’s one thing you’re grateful for right now—and what’s one goal you’re going to “reverse-engineer” with this method?
