🌈 Living our Divine Purpose 🌈
✨ And our Infinite Chances to Begin Again....✨
I've been contemplating living my divine purpose lately, wrestling with fears and doubts—sometimes feeling like I'm not hearing God's guidance clearly, or worse, that I'm being rebellious and disobedient.
Then last night, something beautiful happened.
As I showered, I turned up my favorite praise hymns and let them continue playing softly as I moved into my bedroom for evening prayers and Scripture reading. In that quiet, grounded space—with the hymns in the background and God's Word before me—I felt Him reveal something profound: "You know, Rachel, you have infinite chances to begin again."
This washed over me like warm comfort, and I knew immediately it was a message from God.
Of course! His mercies are new every morning!
"It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Underneath everything, I had been carrying a heavy burden—feeling like a failure who had somehow run out of chances to be a humble, obedient servant of the living God.
But in that moment, feeling His loving reassurance that I can always begin again, that His mercies are ever new, everything aligned with God's Word and promises. It renewed my whole sense of purpose and possibility. It gave me new wings🕊️, a fresh understanding that we can all begin again at any moment. God is such a merciful, faithful God!
As I reflected on this experience, I became curious about what it takes for me to receive God's comforting touch. I noticed it's always when I come to Him in a humble, receptive state—not when I'm angry, resentful, hurt, or desperately begging for answers, but when I approach Him with the openness of a little child, with love and thanksgiving.
“Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 4:6, 7)
I realized how foolish my fear had been—thinking I could somehow use up all my chances at being a faithful servant, like some arcade game with a limited number of tries. Of course not! God ALWAYS gives us another chance to begin again, to begin anew!! This cannot be more widely understood!
For this infinite gift of His great love, I am eternally grateful.
🌈 The gifts of God are infinite and ever new!
I walk away from this experience with a renewed sense that today—right now—I can begin again. As Mary Baker Eddy writes: "If you believe in and practise wrong knowingly, you can at once change your course and do right." (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 253:18-19)
I also carry with me a tremendous sense of gratitude and a deeper desire to follow God's will and plan for my life. Because His plan is SO good, better than I could ever imagine by myself!
What a beautiful reminder that my humble, receptive state of mind is so crucial to hearing God lead me, and how good He is to all of us every morning—every moment!✨
Thanks for the opportunity to share! 💓
