💭 Sometimes I think about Peter.
You know, the moment he stepped out of the boat to walk toward Jesus. ✝️
He didn’t wait until the waters calmed.
He didn’t wait until he had it all figured out.
He just stepped out — shaky, unsure, but full of faith that if Jesus was calling, he could walk on what should have drowned him.
That’s where I feel like I am right now.
I’m stepping out of the 🛶 boat.
Into a new season.
Into deeper self-love.
Into creating 🎨 from a place I never thought I’d be brave enough to.
For me, that looks like picking up my pen and illustrating 🫁 lungs.
These lungs tell a story — of asthma, of breath stolen and given back,
of near-death and near-resurrection.
But more than that, they tell a story of faith.
Of believing that God 🕊️ didn’t bring me this far to let me sink.
Just like Peter, I may feel the waves of doubt and fear crash around me.
But when I keep my eyes on Jesus, even my creativity becomes holy ground.
Every line I draw, every shade I paint, is a step toward Him —
and toward the woman He’s always known me to be.
So if you’re watching me walk this journey, know this:
I’m not walking on talent, or strength, or certainty.
I’m walking on FAITH.
And I believe you can too.
✨ Your boat might look different than mine —
maybe it’s your health, your relationships, your dreams that scare you —
but the same Jesus who called Peter out onto the water is calling you too.
Will you step out with me?
