Welcome!
Hey everyone, welcome to Project 300! Communication was a big issue last time, so we made a central hub to talk, deliver info, etc. So much more to come! Feedback is welcome - we are new to this platform so yeah it’ll be a little clunky. But Jan 1 @Frank Sepe and we will be ready to rock.
Had to adapt
Started my 100 pull-ups and got about five in before I felt a piercing pain in my right side. It’s from when I slipped and fell down the stairs late this summer, and it’s still not 100%. Instead of ditching the challenge, I adapted. Tried TRX from the ground - nope. Tried inverted rows - nope. Pulldowns were okay. Started light with about 15 reps to make sure my back wasn’t going to blow up 😂 Then started going heavier, knocking out 4-6 between other exercises. Finished with 50 total, which was actually 10 more than I planned. I probably would’ve gone with band-assisted pull-ups, but I couldn’t find my bands because my gym is currently buried under Halloween shit. 😂🎃 Point is: adapt when you need to. These challenges are about challenging ourselves however we can. The goal isn’t to hurt yourself trying to check a box. Find a version you can do and keep the promise. ⚔️
Always choose the Hard Way!
What are some everyday things you do to make your day a little harder? Parking further away or using the floor the biggest distance for you? Taking the stairs instead of the elevator? Squats at your desk? For me, I now work back in a high rise bldg with 16 floors and I’m on 9. So I park 2 floors down in the sub-basement and discovered the stairwell that goes all the way up!
Always choose the Hard Way!
PULL-UP CHALLENGE
We are doing it as well... Slight bicep tear - I tried to find a grip that worked . Lol - But I got 30 in the books today .
