Good morning!
Welcome to September - National Preparedness Month.
We'll be spending just a few minutes each day talking about preparedness, and I want to start by expanding how we think about this important topic.
When most people hear \"prepping\" or \"preparedness,\" they immediately think of stockpiling food and getting ready for natural disasters. While those are absolutely important aspects, preparedness is so much more comprehensive than that. In today's uncertain world, being prepared means being ready for the full spectrum of challenges we might face.
Consider what we're seeing right now:
economic uncertainty and inflation affecting household budgets,
supply chain disruptions making everyday items scarce or expensive,
rising unemployment in various sectors, and yes, even civil unrest in some communities.
These aren't doomsday scenarios - they're current realities that prepared families can navigate with much less stress and hardship.
True preparedness is about building resilience in all areas of your life. It's about having the skills, resources, and mindset to adapt when life throws you curveballs. Whether that's a job loss, a medical emergency, a power outage, or simply wanting to be more self-reliant and less dependent on fragile systems.
This month, we'll explore practical, everyday preparedness that makes sense for real families living real lives. No bunkers required - just common-sense strategies that will give you confidence and peace of mind.
In the next few days, we'll dive into our first topic. Until then, start thinking about preparedness not as something for extreme survivalists, but as a life skill that benefits everyone.`,
Comment "Ready" below, if you are ready to get prepped.👍
