Looking for a way to boost your competitiveness for medical school while gaining hands-on experience? The Pre-Medical Summer School is a 3-month pathway program (May–Aug 2025) designed to help undergrads and grad students strengthen every part of their application.
🔑 Program Overview
- Location: University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix
- Activities include:• 📝 Application prep workshops & advising• 👩⚕️ Volunteering at Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix• 🎤 Panels + seminars with faculty, staff, & med students• 🧑🤝🧑 Community engagement + clinics
- Guided by the four pillars: Education, Research, Clinical, Community
- 💵 Cost: FREE (with faculty + student volunteers giving their time)
- 💸 Stipend: Eligible students may receive a $1,000 stipend (via AZHope Foundation)
✅ Eligibility
- 18+ years old
- Must reside in Phoenix, AZ during the summer (out-of-state students welcome, but no housing/transport provided)
- Strong academic standing
- Volunteer/community service experience
📅 Key Dates
- Applications open: March 1, 2025
- Applications close: March 30, 2025 (essays required)
- Interviews: April 1–3, 2025 (virtual only)
- Decisions emailed: April 4, 2025
- Program: May–Aug 2025
- Orientation (required): May 23, 2025
