Luke 9:57–62 The Cost of Following Jesus...
Many times we say:
- "Lord, after my marriage improves."
- "Lord, after my finances improve."
- "Lord, after my ministry succeeds."
- "Lord, after my fears go away."
Jesus says:
"Follow Me now."
Not because everything is perfect.
But because He is worthy.
- Is there anything I am putting ahead of my obedience to God?
- Am I waiting for the perfect time to fully follow Jesus?
- What comfort, fear, or attachment makes it difficult for me to move forward?
- Am I looking ahead to Christ or constantly looking back at what I'm leaving behind?
"Jesus calls for wholehearted discipleship—following Him without delay, divided loyalty, or looking back."
