Rebekah had good intentions but used manipulation to push God’s promise forward. She overheard that her son, Jacob, would be the one to carry the blessing—but instead of waiting on God’s timing, she took matters into her own hands.
By tricking her husband Isaac into blessing Jacob instead of Esau, she got what she wanted, but at what cost? It led to a broken family, deceit, and years of separation.
How many times do we try to force things instead of waiting on God? We move ahead of Him because we think He’s taking too long. But when we manipulate outcomes, we may get what we want but lose what truly matters. 😬
