Verbo SENTIR
SENTIR comes from the Latin sentire, which originally meant to listen, but now represents the perception through all senses.
Sentir usually is followed by a noun. Sentir also has a reflexive form that has a different meaning, and we’ll talk about this verb next time.
The noun is sentimiento (feeling, emotion)
Algunas conjugaciones:
Presente: siento, sientes, siente, sentimos, sentís, sienten
Pretérito: sentí, sentiste, sintió, sentimos, sentisteis, sintieron
Subjuntivo: sienta, sientas, sienta, sintamos, sintáis, sientan
Condicional: sentiría, sentirías, sentiría, sentiríamos, sentiríais, sentirían
Ejemplos:
La calefacción no funciona, sentimos mucho frío aquí.
Ella siente dolor en el pecho.
Nosotros sentimos pena por su situación.
Tú sientes miedo cuando hay una tormenta.
