Over the past few years, one thing has become undeniable:

The commitment, consistency, and growth of the poets inside this community have pushed us to think bigger!

Therefore, we are claiming 2026 as "The Year of the POET!"

As more poets around the world take action... to start the work, do the assignments, ask deeper questions, finish track 1, and build real momentum, it has become clear that what we’re building requires more capacity and space to provide more resources and opportunities for you, the poet.

To continue serving poets globally, not just by educating and equipping you, but also by providing resources, opportunities, visibility, and platforms, we’re evolving how this ecosystem is structured.

This evolution is because of YOU!

To keep delivering at a high level and to grow what’s possible for poets everywhere, we’re expanding into a clear educational institute AND a media network.

That is why the Poetry Business Institute (PBI) is being intentionally developed into more than a curriculum—it is becoming an experience... an experience where poets are not passively consuming lessons, but are being actively and interactively trained to:

think like business owners
communicate their value clearly
design services and offerings
collaborate with other poets
build sustainable systems
and operate independently and collectively

PBI is where poets will be equipped to not only create—but to build, maintain, and sustain thriving Poetry Businesses in the real world.

🔹 WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

We are entering a moment where poetry is no longer on the sidelines.

More organizations, institutions, brands, schools, movements, and communities are turning to poetry for:

communication
storytelling
healing
education
advocacy
engagement

If poets are not trained, structured, confident, and ready to respond to those opportunities with clarity and professionalism, the moment will pass them by.

PBI exists to make sure that doesn’t happen.

🔹 WHAT PBI IS EVOLVING INTO

The Poetry Business Institute is becoming a place where poets will:

learn through application, not theory
be coached through real decisions, not hypotheticals
practice collaboration, not isolation
build alongside other poets, not in silos
develop confidence through repetition and accountability
prepare for opportunities before they arrive—not after

🔹 WHAT’S CHANGING (CLEAR & INTENTIONAL)

The current Poetry Business Network is being transformed into the Poetry Business Institute (PBI).

PBI will now be fully dedicated to:

learning and education
structured tracks and curriculum
assignments and execution
coaching and accountability
focused development for poets

The new PBN will be the home for:

media and productions
shows and programming
live and virtual events
watch parties and conversations
cast, contributors, partners, and audience
resources, opportunities, and connections
all people and activities connected to our productions

This is where journeys are documented, shared, discussed, and connected to a larger world.

🔹 HOW THIS WORKS TOGETHER

PBI is where poets are educated, equipped, and held accountable.
PBN is where that work turns into visibility, resources, opportunities, and impact.

Poets will now have:

PBI for learning, development, and execution
PBN for media, productions, events, and opportunity

This structure allows us to:

serve poets around the world at scale
protect the integrity of the education
expand access to resources and opportunities
welcome partners and supporters without dilution
build platforms that extend beyond a single space

And now, we are stepping up the infrastructure to match the moment.

PBI will continue to evolve into a training ground for poets who are serious about building something real.
PBN will begin to grow as a media and production platform that connects that work to the world.

Together, they form a system designed not just for today, but for what’s coming next.

PBI prepares the poets.

PBN positions them in and for the world.

2026 is the year of the poet.

And we are building now so poets are ready then!
