POETRIES PROBLEM
THE Problem?
The world wants/needs Entertainment?
Wants to think of anything that stimulates pleasures because that escapes reality. People need good poetry because they are searching for connections they cannot see with their eyes but can understand with their heart and mind. People seek instructions that are hoped may assist them along in this life to cope with its many changes. My Poetry offers both the escape of Entertainment and the need the relate while receiving an instruction of how to avoid experiencing the details of the poem.
“Over Stone Waters” (On Amazon) rivals Shakespeare in Entertainment; not because it houses complex ideologies of Society or Culture; but because it opens the door of the house wide allowing light to come in so it can review the complex details of these things that blend into our social constructions. The less larger issues which develop inside of the house are reviewed in "Over Stone Waters", not as poetry alone but also as lyrics. Such pieces as “Fangs of Injustice, Happy Go Lucky, April-April May-May" and many others explore more individual issues of life.
It becomes more personal the closer it hits to home. Some will not be comfortable with poetry for this exact reason. But it is not [all] about what things of life were left behind: yet, what each poem offers to be carried forward today. While exploring life’s intricate issues each piece leaves the reader with profound insights yet simple to understand meanings of life. Or you may find an instruction hidden in the fabric for how to manage those details if you find yourself familiar with a piece that resonates with you. When you think of it, you wouldn't know poetry if you never thought it.
