Docker
Working on our team project for the software engineering course, the question of deploying the backend to connect it to the front end came up. That's when our coach, Ibrahim, suggested that I learn about Docker.
In summary, Docker solves the "it works on my machine" problem by packaging applications and their dependencies into standardized containers that run consistently across different environments.
These containers isolate software from its surroundings, ensuring that applications work uniformly regardless of where they're deployed—from a developer's laptop to testing, staging, and production servers.
This breakdown was super simple to understand.
