Photographic Reading is a practical course designed to help you approach books and information in a completely new way. You will learn the five stages: Prepare, Preview, PhotoRead, Postview and Activate. Rather than reading every word slowly from beginning to end, you will learn to establish a clear purpose, survey a book intelligently, process its pages rapidly and return to activate the information most relevant to your needs.
The course includes practical exercises for improving concentration, reading speed, comprehension, recall and confidence. You will also explore techniques for researching a topic through several books, identifying key ideas and turning information into understanding and practical action.
This is more than conventional speed reading. It is a structured method for becoming a purposeful, flexible and resourceful learner—able to get the information you need in the time you have.
