A lot of people see confidence as something you either have, or you don’t. But in my experience, confidence is built through repeated acts of courage.
There was a time when I was socially anxious, awkward, and uncomfortable speaking in front of people. I would overthink conversations, avoid attention, and stay quiet because I was scared of being judged.
But deep down, I knew that if I wanted to grow as a man, I had to start embracing discomfort instead of running from it.
So, I started small.
One conversation, One question, one uncomfortable moment at a time.
At first, it felt unnatural. My voice would shake. I’d overthink everything afterward. But each small win stacked on top of the next.
Eventually, something changed.
I stopped seeing public speaking as a threat and started seeing it as an opportunity for growth. Over time, I actually learned to enjoy it… and eventually I even won awards for public speaking.
Not because I was naturally gifted. Because I kept showing up.
That’s the power of small wins.
Most transformation doesn’t happen in one big moment; it happens through small consistent actions that slowly change who you become.
I got an award for most effective speaker tonight. How far I have come!
Don’t underestimate the value of taking one uncomfortable step today.
What’s one small win you’ve had recently?
