Identity of Man
Culture tells us to build more, be more, do more, all in your own power. It says take the glory for everything you do because you must build your net worth and make people like you, chase your dreams.
First, that will be the lead to your madness. Christ does not tell us to chase everything and leave him behind in the making of your life. In Micah, he says says to walk humbly with him, not falling behind or sprinting ahead.
Your worth and identity is directly correlated to your ability to Love God, and Love People. That is what Jesus said to expert of The Law when he asked which of the commandments were the most important.
The real divine you comes out of it's shell whenever you are not worried about what you are getting in return, how comfortable you are, what you are going to do. The real you is present when you place another's needs above yourself, and commit yourself to loving God and people deeply and truly. From there, your life is built just as Christ intended.
We become lost whenever we focus on return on investment, weighing logistics, becoming known, flaunting our material or experience.
I only wish for you to show bold love to whomever you are led to.
