Dreams across generations
Hi community!
I felt this would be a good place to discuss what im about to share, and maybe seek input on how to heal and dissolve it.
I have dreams where I am in a dangerous situation and I am screaming for help. Last night I was escaping this person who was looking for me in a sinister way, like hunting me down. I would hide from him but one day he saw me and tried to open the door. I was trying to scream for help. There was a little girl there but only saw the back of her head. When I was screaming, no sound came out of my body like my voice had been taken away. Then halfway between sleep and conciousness I start asking for help and then I can hear my voice.
Its not always this scenario, but the theme is the same. Trying to scream for help in a dangerous scenario and voice being suppressed. Once I wake up, I feel relieved.
I find it interesting that my mom has these types of dreams too and found out one of my mom's cousins also has these types of dreams. It tells me its something on the maternal side carried down through the family line.
Any thoughts on how to heal this? Or where it could come from? Maybe it was a real scenario at some point in the lineage, or suppression..? But thats not as important as healing it so my future kids dont get this.. idk but very interesting
