I've been applying so many of the strategies I've already learnt and I'm finding a huge difference. I've faced some challenges that I'd that I'd pop in here to tackle before the next call.
How do I handle complaining after I've offered breakfast options. If I've offered a 2 or 3 options. "We always have toast, it's not fair, I don't want that".. or I make it and then he says "its too soggy, you didnt cook it long enough"
Another one is setting the expectation and having the conversation as discussed on the call. It has been working really well with both my 4 year old and nearly 8 year old. We have chat i.e. about a play date the expectations, do we agree he repeats it and then we shake hands. He's actually loving the conversations we've been having. Now if it's about getting dressed in the morning and we've discussed it but there's constant ignoring. Do I remind him? How do I say it without nagging him? SWC.. so gets annoyed if I keep repeating myself.
Looking forward to hearing back!
