Modern dad - three pillars ‘work’ & ‘family’ & ‘me time’.
I’m not superman, not almighty, far from perfect - not planning to become it either, but I’m doing ok. I want to get your thoughts rollin on some mix of concepts to become a happy person.
Relating to the three pillars (belief, skills, character) on the ladder to freedom presented in ‘s workshop, I believe that the ability of being a *happy* modern man, caring father and ‘business punk’ (all combined) builds up on the development of following three fundamental pillars: work, family and “me-time”.
<> *Work*, as having a family implies the need of financial resources (for some it’s more, it’s also to satisfy career ambitions),
<> *family*, which includes being the dad, husband and family man you believe is the best fit and in line with your personal ideal,
<> *me-time*, sports, friends, hobbies, which is often forgotten but super important to have a balance in the daily juggle.
Not possible to be perfect in all of those and also not required, but like in David’s concept, I think it’s beneficial to improve on each of them, especially the ones that’ve been rather ignored so far.
What is ‘the’ area you want to improve on in 2024?
Work harder
Family
More me-time
