Guidelines For Getting Filled
If you are having difficulty getting filled and the options are moving too quickly, you have two choices. You can either move on to the next trade, or attempt to get filled at a slightly higher price.
In these situations, it is reasonable to adjust your limit order by 5 to 10 cents. The maximum adjustment I would recommend is 15 cents. Anything beyond that, it is best to pass on the trade and look for the next opportunity.
I have personally been experiencing some challenges with fills as well, so I assume many of you may be running into the same issue.
