Filled with Glory
Today’s Scripture:
Habakkuk 2:14 (KJV)
“For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Today’s Reflection:
In the midst of Habakkuk’s prophecies of judgment and turmoil, this verse stands as a beacon of hope. The prophet envisions a future where God’s glory isn’t hidden or confined but permeates every corner of the earth, just as the oceans blanket the seas in vast, undeniable abundance. This isn’t a mere wish, it’s a divine promise. Amidst our own world’s chaos, from personal struggles to global unrest, God’s ultimate plan is restoration and revelation. His glory, seen in creation, redemption, and His unchanging character, will one day be known by all. Until then, we glimpse it in moments of grace, answered prayers, and transformed lives.
Today’s Application:
Today, seek to live as a reflection of God’s glory. Share a kind word, extend forgiveness, or simply pause to appreciate His creation. Ask yourself, How can I contribute to filling my corner of the earth with the knowledge of His glory? Start small, perhaps by reading Scripture aloud with a friend or family member, or by journaling ways you’ve seen God’s hand at work this week.
Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that Your glory will fill the earth. Help me to know You more deeply and to share that knowledge with others. In times of doubt, remind me of Your vast, covering presence, like the waters over the sea. May my life today reflect Your splendor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
