12 hours and 75+ MPH winds for a bottle baby...

So my oldest daughter, Jaya turns 9 on Friday!

And last week when my wife asked her what she wanted for her birthday she said a “bottle baby goat”

Now for those of you that are unfamiliar with the goat farming world a bottle baby is literally a goat that you have to bottle feed 4 times a day because they can’t feed themselves yet.

So when she asked, we did what any sane parents would do and we told her no…

Besides, no one has babies during the middle of the harsh Wyoming winter!

(Unless it happens by accident)

So here’s where it gets good…

One of the BEST goat farmers in all of Wyoming just so happened to have an accidental breeding!

So yesterday my wife and I left at 8:30am and set out to battle the 75+ mph wind gusts and the blowing snow to pick up an 11 day old bottle baby goat located across Wyoming about 5 hours away!

And around 8:30 pm last night we finally made it back home to surprise our daughter…

It was a special moment to say the least and the crazy day was well worth it!

But here’s the point…

All of this was only possible because I am my OWN BOSS. Well, my wife is the boss technically but that’s a story for another day ;)

Anyway, I didn’t have to request time off or use a vacation day…

We didn’t have to try and rush there and back…

We could take our time and battle the elements at our own pace while actually getting to ENJOY THE MOMENT FULLY!

It was a full on adventure that we will remember for the rest of our lives!

And now today we were able to take it slow and figure out life with a diaper wearing, bottle drinking, baby goat living in the house with us…

Look, this type of life doesn't require you to be “rich” and you don’t need to be a millionaire..

But you do need to have a job where YOU make the rules…

One where not only do you make the rule but you also have the ability to earn passive income no matter what you’re doing.

And maybe it's not goats and homesteading for you like it is us..

Maybe it's traveling the world or the ability to homeschool your kids.

Or maybe it’s simply having the extra time and resources to pursue your favorite hobbies and activities.

Whatever it looks like for you, you don’t have to do it alone!
