2️⃣ Who Is Your Perfect Member?
Now that you’ve identified the problem your community solves, the next step is figuring out who is actually struggling with that problem.
And no — the answer is not “everyone.”
Strong communities are built for a very specific type of person.
The clearer you are about who that person is, the easier it becomes to:
• Create content they relate to
• Attract the right members
• Build offers they actually want
Think about your ideal member for a minute and answer these questions:
• Who are they exactly?
• What stage of life or business are they in?
• What have they already tried that didn’t work?
• What challenge is frustrating them the most right now?
Specific communities grow faster because people instantly think:
"This place was made for me."

If you’re unsure, try this simple prompt in ChatGPT.
Copy and paste after you [FILL IN THE BRACKETS]:
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭:
"I help [type of person] achieve [specific result] using [your approach or method]. Can you suggest different audience segments who might be interested in this?"
ChatGPT will generate several audience types.
Review the list and choose the one that best represents the people you want inside your community.
This step matters more than most people realize because we’ll use this exact information later when building your About Page and messaging.
Take a minute to think it through, then drop your answer below. 👇
