Strategic Objective and General Operating Principles for the Road to Mastery

I recently read "Work the system" by Sam Carpenter which is a great inspiration to systamatize work flows and develop systems. However, accroding to Carpenter, if you want to establish coherent systems in ones business, two things are required:

1) A Strategic Objective

2) General Operating Principles

Strategic Objective:

The SO is the vision you have - the north star everything converges to, it is the destination of the journey.

General Operating Principles

The GOP are the roles of the road you need to obey to arrive at your destiation (SO).

I think this idea also translates to life itself. And since the goal of this community is to become the best version of oneself and live a purposefull life, I think it would be extremely valuable for us to work out the SO and the GOP for ourselves.
