Kia ora, hello and welcome back!
This week we are exploring a foundational technique from the Ohm education curriculum known as the Draw Breath.
There are two primary components that I want to you think about today:
- Extend the length of your pursed lip inhalation for as long as you comfortably can. There is no need to rush the process and force the technique in any way. Remaining calm and relaxed is a priority.
- Focus on a slow, passive decompression of the entire body as you release the exhale out of the nose.
Please complete the technique as much as you feel called to throughout the week.
Generally a good rule of thumb is to complete 2-3 repetitions of the Draw Breath with an equal work to rest ratio. I.e if it takes 2 minutes to complete the technique, take 2 minutes rest before proceeding.
