🏀 PLAY OF THE DAY 🏀
Team A has possession in its backcourt.
A1 passes the ball toward A2, who is standing in the frontcourt near the division line.
A2 jumps from the frontcourt, catches the pass while airborne and then lands with both feet in the backcourt. No defender touches the pass.
What is the correct NFHS ruling?
A. Backcourt violation
B. Legal play because the pass originated in the backcourt
C. Legal play because A2 caught the ball while airborne
D. Traveling violation
