Caryodendron Orinocense
Also known as: “Cacay” oil.
Pronounced: “Kuh K(eye)”
Type: Nut Oil
Cacay, Kauai, or Inchi oil, is originally Amazonian, made from the nut of a tree. It is known mostly for its Vitamin A content.
Did you know that “Retinol”, is actually just Vitamin A? Cacay essential oil has more 3x more “natural retinol” than rosehip essential oil. Retinol, is used for aging. It reduces wrinkles, promotes natural cell turnover, resulting in firmer and brighter skin.
Cacay oil also is known for its linoleic acid content. Cacay oil has almost twice as much linoleic as argan essential oil ☺️. Useful for calming inflamed skin, and strengthening your skins natural barrier.
Product: “Ocean Oil” contains Cacay oil and a blend of luxury essential oils that revive and rejuvenate the skin.
Get some: 100% Cacay oil is an essential carrier oil. Meaning it can be used pure without dilution. It can also be used as a base, to dilute other oils when necessary. I can only purchase Cacay oil on special request as I do not currently have a recommended brand. I will update when I can.
