Body
Welcome to Obsidian Metrics.
If you joined to find the one platform that prints money, you're in the wrong place. There isn't one. The whole reason this community exists is that the people promising you that platform are not telling you the truth, and the version of finance that actually compounds for normal people is the boring version most creators refuse to teach.
So here's what this community actually is, and what to do in your first hour.
What Obsidian Metrics is
We are a financial education community organized around one idea: redundancy beats prediction.
Instead of betting on a single platform, a single asset, or a single guru, you build a small system of independent platforms — each doing one job, each replaceable, each verifiable on its own. The community gives you the framework, the platform library, the system templates, and the tools to actually track what you build. We do not give you stock picks. We do not give you yield promises. We do not have an "insider" anything. If that's what you came for, this isn't going to feel like home, and that's intentional.
What you have access to from day one
- The 22-platform library at https://obsidian-metrics.pplx.app/#/platforms. Every platform is categorized by function — on-ramp, yield venue, redundancy anchor, growth layer — so you can see what each one is for, not just what it is.
- The 13 systems at https://obsidian-metrics.pplx.app/#/systems. These are pre-built templates that show how multiple platforms can work together. Pick one that matches your situation. Modify it. Build your own.
- The classroom inside this community. Walkthroughs, breakdowns, and the longer-form education content. Always being added to.
- The daily market update posted here every weekday after market close. Real numbers, real context, no hot takes.
- The weekly recap posted Sunday nights so it's the first thing in your feed Monday morning.
- The Monday platform drop — every Monday, one new platform fully documented.
What to do in your first hour
- Read The Four Lies on the blog. It is the single most important piece of context for everything else in here. About 4 minutes.
- Skim the 22 platforms. Don't read every one. Just notice that they are grouped by function. That grouping is the framework.
- Pick one of the 13 systems that loosely matches where you are right now. You're not committing to it. You're using it as a starting point.
- Introduce yourself in the chat. One sentence is fine. Tell us what you're trying to build, or just say hey.
- Turn on community notifications so you don't miss the daily market update or Monday's platform drop.
The community rules — short version
- No platform shilling. If you mention a platform you use, mention what it does, what the risk is, and what your honest experience has been. Not "this one paid me again."
- No screenshots of dollar amounts as social proof. We are not a payout-flex community.
- No financial advice between members. Share frameworks, share questions, share what you tried. Nobody here is your advisor, including me.
- Be specific. "What do you think of X?" is hard to answer. "I'm using X for the on-ramp function and Y for the yield venue and I'm trying to decide whether I need a third platform for redundancy" is easy to answer.
- Be patient. The good answers in this community come from people who have spent more than 90 days actually using a system. Drive-by questions get drive-by answers.
What this community is not
We do not tell you what to invest in. We do not have a Discord pump channel. We do not run "live trade alerts." We do not have a private signals tier. We do not have a "millionaire mentor" track. We do not have a referral program where you earn money from new members. None of those things are coming.
What you get instead is a small group of people who care more about building durable systems than about getting rich next week. If that sounds slow, it is. That is the whole point.
A note on the pricing tiers
Your tier determines how much access you have to the premium tools and the deep-dive classroom content. Every tier gets the full community and the platform library. Higher tiers unlock the Tracker, the System Lab, and the more advanced platform breakdowns once those are fully wired in. There is no pressure to upgrade. Upgrade when the value of what you're using exceeds the cost of the tier. Not before.
Final thing
If you read this whole post, you are already the kind of member this community is built for. Most people skim past the pinned post. You didn't. Welcome in.
