TikTok: To Be Banned or Sold?
I was looking through Morning Brew (it's currently 3 am):
Apparently, TikTok has been given an ultimatum to be sold or risk being banned by the Biden Administration and Committee of Foreign Investment. TikTok has a decision to make.
(For additional context, this was due to a longstanding issue regarding privacy and data risks of US citizen users on the app.)
What could this mean or change for artists and marketers on the platform? Secondly, how might you expect to see people pivoting if at all? Do you think it matters at all for the music industry?
Thoughts are welcome.
