If you live in a mountain area or really steep hills, putting your car in sports mode actually lets your car stay in gear longer which actually puts less strain on your transmission and surprisly enough you also save gas. Next time you go up a hill or mountain driving, put it in sports mode and your car will thank you in the long run!
