When shooting anything with the intent to add VFX, make it a golden rule to capture a "clean plate" – a shot of your background without your subject (or you!) in it.
Even if you think you won't need it for a specific effect..... TRUST ME... this empty background is invaluable.
Why this matters:
- Easy Compositing: Essential for rotoscoping, cleanups, and CGI.
- Flexibility: Gives you an empty canvas to place new elements .... looks super clean.
- Time Saver: Far easier than trying to remove elements in post.
