Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. A few notes for everyone regarding this platform as I've had lots of chats with people about the zooms, how to use this space etc.
First and foremost, it's by you being here that makes this possible. I am very passionate and I love Tarot and Astrology for the most part. However, you too all have your gifts and knowledge and I invite and encourage you to share those things with others. It is a collaborative space and I've already noticed a few friendships blooming! General discussion is where you can add a new thread of your own (again just keep it woo relevant) and have fun! Just quietly, I am really over Facebook and Instagram so this is our new home people.
I've added myself to a few other skools as well to see the lay of the land and one of the things I will stress, more than anything.... I do not offer AI classes or material. My courses have been structured and written from the heart. Not a computer. You will notice if you join 'some' skools that the material is farmed. Not only is that disappointing but some people are paying for memberships that are not from the teachers experience rather ChatGPT or other programs. That's a problem. So yea, you won't get that crap from me.
Secondly, for those who don't know my New Angel Tarot business or are familiar with what I do outside of 'being online' is that I live in a remote area and I travel a lot. This means on weekends I go to work at Tarot and Psychic expos every weekend. This is how I survive! So I just want to put it out there that I won't be responding to comments and chats on skool on weekends. The app is wonderful for 'liking' people's comments and posts but it doesn't like text responses so I need to be at a laptop for that to provide you with quality responses and feedback. So I will be designating admin to Mondays (AEST).
It's important to monitor online time and balance - I've already seen with our small group things are getting busy! Which is WONDERFUL and it's making my heart sing. Please monitor your own screen time too because it can be exciting and addicitve lol. So yea, I will go through all responses Mondays if that's ok! There will be plenty of weekly interaction planned with the classes and Zooms to keep everyone busy.
This Friday, we have our event, Shedding Our Skin as a final farewell to the eastern year of wood snake to prepare for our New Moon Gathering on the 16/17th depending on your location. You will also notice on the main dashboard the next upcoming event is always at the top of the page.
- Please use the CALENDAR tab to add the events to your personal calendars (google etc) and if you're unable to attend ANY event it's totally fine! You can still watch the replays I make available in the LIVE REPLAY (for all members) or the classroom subject event you're enrolled for.
- Tabs along the top of the page I've kept to a minimum, but you'll notice there's one for each of the main subjects, General, Tarot, Astrology, Decans and Goddesses. This should be sufficient for now but these categories will grow over time I am sure. When posting something new check the 'category' box in the post and it will land in that thread topic.
- Zooms are not mandatory - they're there as the online teaching and collaborative platform. If you have questions from the lesson or weren't able to attend, share them in the comments below the class to still participate!
- Skool is NEW to me also :) Don't worry, we will work through things together and I am sure discover things about the platform together. Have a nosey around, click on a few things and see what you find.
- Notifications for this group can be found in settings. You can switch things on and off if you're getting overloaded with comment likes or other things you can just check your settings, if you log in you can amend to your liking.
- You will receive email from me, maybe twice a week to remind you of an upcoming class or important post. I get it, we get a lot of digital 'stuff' and I am not wanting to overwhelm or create clutter.
Thank you for those who have signed up as paid members, and those who have just joined to see what works for you. Our founding members have been amazing with their testimonials and supporting the Academy since 2022, so I am appreciative of you being here - of course your previous payments and attendance is gratis for existing material.
A shout of to a lady I met over the weekend who is new to Victoria from Perth and looking to meet like-minded folk and joined Skool to do so! Please make her feel welcome she's a Virgo and wonderful soul. Welcome lovely!
Also to for his recent subscription and being super active in the community. What a legend thank you! You're certainly a man on a mission :)
