Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m Natalie, creator of SEND Support Circle
Iโ€™m 40 years old, have two grown up children now; my son is 20 and currently studying at University and my daughter is 17 (almost 18) and a very talented writer and artist!
I am fully qualified SENCO & Assistant Headteacher with over 13 years teaching experience.
My daughter is neurodiverse (ASD and ADHD), meaning Iโ€™ve gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from the challenges and barriers we have faced throughout her educational journey!
๐Ÿ˜ฉ Feeling as though you are constantly battling with professionals to ensure adequate provision and support for your child!
๐Ÿ˜ด Tired of the struggles associated with EHCPโ€™s or requesting assessment from Educational Psychologists and other specialist practitioners.
๐Ÿ˜” Disappointed when people just donโ€™t understand:
โ€œShe looks fine to me!โ€
โ€œSheโ€™s really good and quiet in school!โ€
โ€œWe donโ€™t see any of those behaviours!โ€
๐Ÿ˜ญ Exhausted with constantly feeling as though you are fighting a losing battle!
I would like to grow this community, and create a sanctuary for parents and carers facing similar challenges!
I am aiming to post helpful content and tailor personalised advice, guidance and support for struggling parents/carers, depending on individual needs and circumstances.
My big goal is to eventually offer online courses, templates, bespoke consultations, and whatever else might be required - who knows? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฅฐ
Thank you for taking the time to read my extensive brain dump ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ oh, I forgot to mentionโ€ฆ
I was diagnosed with combined type ADHD about 2-3 years ago ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
My life makes sense now, and I think ADHD can be a superpower ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ and a curse ๐Ÿซฃ however, we can save that for another day ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚
If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to reach out ๐Ÿ˜Š
