Welcome to the neonatal foster academy - your first steps start here.
The three big threats to neonatal kittens: hypothermia, hypoglycemia, and dehydration. Quick Tip - feel their ears and paws for chill, rub a bit of sugar water or Nutrical on the gums if the kitten is weak and floppy. Pinch the scruff and if it stays tented, hydrate fast no matter what then check the gums - if pink and slick - good - if they are sticky or pale they are all ready behind - act now - syringe fluids immediately. Do both tests every time!
