Let me be the first to start.
My name is KM Riebesehl, and I am the owner and maker behind Muddy Paws Candles. Candle making has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as a simple love for melting wax, blending scents, and creating cozy spaces slowly grew into a deep passion—and eventually, a business rooted in craftsmanship, patience, and creativity.
Over the years, I’ve spent countless hours testing waxes, wicks, containers, and fragrance blends, learning what truly works and what doesn’t. Candle making isn’t something you master overnight—it’s a skill built through experience, trial and error, and a genuine appreciation for the process. Each candle I create reflects that journey, from early experiments to refined, clean-burning designs made with intention.
What qualifies me to teach candle making isn’t just time—it’s hands-on experience. I’ve worked through the challenges beginners face, made the mistakes that most guides never mention, and learned how to simplify the process without sacrificing quality. Through Muddy Paws Candles, I focus on modern, approachable candle making using coconut apricot wax, a premium wax that produces beautiful results when used correctly.
