Because apparently “6–12 months” means absolutely nothing?? 😂
I’ve been working on an Easter dress for my daughter (I’ll share the TikTok so you can see it 🥹)
My little bean is 10 months old, so technically she falls into that 6–12 month range… but wow, this has been a JOURNEY.
So here’s what I’ve been doing:
I followed the 6–12 month size for the yoke, I’m making the body to fit her as I go, and the skirt is… kinda 6–12 months, kinda vibes 😅
Lots of adjusting stitches. Lots of “we’ll figure it out as we go.”
At this point I’m honestly thinking about writing my own pattern specifically for her—something that actually works for real babies.
I might even do a pattern tester call before I publish it 👀
But I need to know—
how are you guys handling baby sizing when NOTHING seems to match?? Are you following patterns exactly or adjusting as you go?
